I aim to provide you with a relaxing, informative and interactive day on the farm, learning about the basic requirements of keeping happy and healthy chickens.

We will begin at 10.30am and run until approximately 2.30pm and covering subjects such as breeds, housing, fencing/runs, feeding, buying stock, general health and husbandry, natural behaviour, hatching and rearing chicks and how to easily catch and handle the chickens.

Following a theory session, we will put into practice some of the things that we have covered.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day and a light lunch will be provided.

You will need to wear practical clothing and footwear, suitable for walking about the farm and for whatever the weather will be doing on the day.

Ongoing support is provided, so if you have any further questions at a later date, feel free to call.
