About Lake Farm

Hi, my name is Lizzie. Located in Sutton Valence in Kent, Lake Farm has been in my family for more than 100 years, but we have also farmed locally for much, much longer. There has always been livestock here, latterly specialising in rare breeds such as Berkshire pigs, Norfolk Horn sheep and Longhorn cattle.

There are a great many rescue animals that also reside here at the farm, from rabbits and chickens, to a mule who has found his way here all the way from Spain! The core farm animals live out their natural days here.

Wildlife and the environment are of the utmost importance. No chemicals are used on the farm and habitat is nurtured. This space is symbiotically shared with Nature's flora and fauna, however great or small.

There are a range of courses held here. Developed as a result of generations of experience, combined with my passions for animals and the natural world, along with (where possible) an independent and off-grid way of life.

Added to this, my enthusiasm to impart knowledge and share my experience and passions, along with the demand, of many people now wanting to get back in touch with some of their roots.

Or just simply wanting an excuse to spend a day at the farm!
